Lambda DNA EcoR I/Hind III Digest Ladder
Please download a high resolution image from here.
The EcoR I and Hind III digest of lambda (λ) DNA yields the following 13 discrete fragments (in base pairs): 21226*, 5148, 4973, 4268, 3530*, 2027, 1904, 1584, 1375, 947, 831, 564, 125. *The cohesive ends (12b cos site of bacteriophage λ) of fragments 21226bp and 3530bp may anneal and form the additional band. These fragments may be separated by heating to 65ºC for 5 min and then cooling on ice for 3min.

Product Details
Description: The EcoR I and Hind III digest of lambda (λ) DNA yields the following 13 discrete fragments (in base pairs): 21226*, 5148, 4973, 4268, 3530*, 2027, 1904, 1584, 1375, 947, 831, 564, 125.
*The cohesive ends (12b cos site of bacteriophage λ) of fragments 21226bp and 3530bp may anneal and form the additional band. These fragments may be separated by heating to 65ºC for 5 min and then cooling on ice for 3min.
Preparation: Lambda DNA was completely digested by EcoR I and Hind III, phenol extracted, ethanol precipitated and dissolved in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0) and 1 mM EDTA.
Storage conditions:
- 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0)
- 1 mM EDTA
- Store at -20ºC.
Note: Dilute in TE or other buffer of minimal ionic strength. DNA may denature if diluted in dH2O and subsequently heated.
